This list is a work in progress and includes albums and music that I've been an artist, engineer, or producer on. I'm still trying to remember all of them. I also did demo work for some notable artists and celebs not listed. musician've done many sessions as a bass player in my studio and other studios on many recordings that are not listed here as well as commercial work. venues appeared in a commercial for a pawn as a down and out musician in the early 90s.
Aside from studio recording I also worked on the local sound crews around western Maryland and provided PA equipment for some big acts that would play at the local colleges and surrounding Venues. Some names I recall are Ronnie Millsap, Al Dimeola, Steppenwolf, The Ozark Mountain Daredevils in the late 70's and 80's.
MIKE HOUNSHELL DISCOGRAPHY
1st - My first record was a documentary recording of the daily life of the students/special events at my high school. It's a floppy record titled "Sounds of Bhs"(1978) that was part of the yearbook. My childhood/longtime friend Jim Kerr and I recorded/edited/mastered the record for the yearbook. We had excuses/passes to work on the yearbook record all day from the yearbook faculty editor without dates on them senior year. We skipped many days school with those excuses and never got caught. I don't know how we managed to graduate. They gave use a two track machine to use to work on the record and I managed to keep it during the summer between 11th and 12th grade. It had sound on sound capabilities and that's when I got hooked on multitracking. The next year I bought a Tascam 80-8 8 track analog machine and used that until around 1987. I took RIAA recording classes at Sheffield Recording, Towsen Md, in 1979.
